I bought this Canon Pixma MG2945  printer to allow the ease of wireless printing throughout my home. The main goal was to print my college student’s schoolwork. Print something other than a real “document” that the application can handle with incredible difficulty. Image printing works, and document scanning works fine from the app. The cheapest printer I have ever bought. It is cheaper than ink cartridges, but it works great.

I had a hard time setting up the wifi, but I called Canon, and they were all over the place and helped me get set up. I cannot say enough about their technical support. Overall this Canon Pixma MG2945 printer was straightforward to set up. It works very well wirelessly and is inexpensive. No complaints. I have never had a problem with anything purchased online. This wifi-enabled printer is perfect for its price. Although it is a wifi printer, it still does not have an aerial print that is used by Apple iOS devices. To print from an iOS device, you will have to use Google’s print settings, which seems like a problem.

This Canon MG2945 wireless setup tutorial shows you how to connect a compatible Canon printer to your wireless network using the Wifi Protected Setup (WPS) pushbutton method. It will allow you to print from a computer in the same network area without having to connect the printer to your computer.
